Laser welding – accurately together

hitsauskuva-uusi-pieniLaser welding is the most common method of beam welding used in the world. By pulse welding, the laser beam is optically centred to the object to be welded, whereby the materials there melt together either by spot welding or continuous welding.

The laser welding is suited for most materials. Its benefits are most clearly seen when a very small heating effect is permitted; a hardly perceptible joint and a top class work.

Typical customers are the manufactures of instruments and various component makers as well as numerous miniature component producers from different industries, like medical and measuring equipment manufactures.

Benefits with laser welding:

  • Narrow joint
  • Pulse properties
  • Minimal heat effects
  • Useful when joining together materials of different thickness and different materials respectively
  • The surface to be welded may even be in a location which is difficult to access
